At Antioch Alliance Church, we’re all about Jesus.
In Matthew 22, we see Jesus speaking about two commandments:
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:36-40, ESV)
That is why we exist, to love our God, and to love our neighbors in the way God tells us to through the Bible. Of course, we do not do either of these things perfectly, which is why we all need the saving work of Jesus who died and was resurrected. His work on the cross pays for the sins of all who confess Him as Lord and believe in Him! (Check out Romans 10 in the Bible for more on this!) Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can better reflect Jesus to each other and our neighbors around us.
